Nigerian-based TV personality and model Vimbai Mutinhiri has applauded her father, Retired Brigadier-General Ambrose Mutinhiri for accepting to lead the National Patriotic Front (NPF) party as its founding president.
Mutinhiri, who was sacked by Mnangagwa as Provincial Affairs minister for Mashonaland East, quit both his parliamentary and Zanu PF positions.

Journalist and author Shepherd Mutamba who wrote the book Tuku Backstage, Oliver Mtukudzi’s tell-all biography, first published in 2015, has written a second edition to be published next week Monday.
The book was printed in South Africa by Digital Action.

Musician Andy Muridzo has expressed his disquiet and regret at signing for Jah Prayzah’s Military Touch Movement (MTM) saying that he is not getting what he signed for.
Muridzo claims that Jah Prayzah has not assisted him in any way, and is instead grabbing all the good opportunities for himself.
Muridzo signed a 5-year contract joining MTM last year. Speaking to Sunday Mail, Muridzo said:
I no longer want anything to do with MTM. I want out. Rather, I’m practically out but still with them on paper. I have a five-year contract that I signed last year though I’m working on terminating it. Read more
For failure to pay rent, singer Akon’s been ordered to pay $164,786.99 to a company that leased him some space on the 66th floor of the Empire State Building for his fashion line, Aliaune Milano.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the leasing company, GTFM, said Akon agreed in July of 2012 to pay $25k per month and did so until July of 2015 when he stopped paying rent. Read more
