The 35-year-old joined the Reds on a free transfer from PSG in June and went on to score 28 goals for Jose Mourinho’s side before suffering a serious knee injury last month.
The Swede initially moved to Old Trafford on a one-year deal, with the option of second, but the injury has put a longer stay in serious doubt.

Visiting Christ Embassy founder Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has said challenges facing Zimbabwe will soon be a thing of the past, as the country’s leadership is on the right track with its turnaround strategies.
Addressing thousands of congregants at a “Worship and Communion” service at the National Sports Stadium in Harare last night, he said better days were coming for Zimbabweans.
Pastor Oyakhilome said people should be patient.
“Something special is about to happen in your country,” he said. “Zimbabwe is about to witness a new beginning. You only need to change direction and change strategies. That is what your leaders are doing now and you will be somewhere one day.” Read more
Tich Mataz was at Pastor Paul Sanyangore’s Victory World International Ministries Church service when he reportedly received prophecies and delivered them to some women in the church.
This is the service Sanyangore had promised to deliver God’s phone number to his congregants, a claim that has received mixed reactions.
However, when the time came for people to save god’s phone number, several congregants fell asleep with their phones in hand as the number was about to be announced.

A Man from Bulawayo drowned at Maleme Dam inside Matopo National Park while trying to take a selfie.
The police sub aqua unit retrieved the body on Monday afternoon following the tragedy on Sunday.
Sources said Tichawona Nyamande (26) of Gwabalanda suburb had gone on an outing with a group of friends.
They allegedly started taking pictures with their cellphones at the scenic dam.
“Tichawona stood on rocks near the edge of the dam and started taking selfies with the water as background.
“He unfortunately slipped and fell into the dam,” said a witness who declined to be named.
He hit his head on a rock, the source said, and lost consciousness. Read more

On Friday, Sheffield of Barnesville, Georgia, walked across the stage along with his tutor Amanda Brannock to accept his diploma at Shorter University. He had attended the University from 1960 to 1965 but quit before graduating. Read more

The late former Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku who died in South Africa last week on Wednesday has been declared a national hero.
Justice Chidyausiku was aged 70 and will be buried at the National Heroes’ Acre on Saturday.
President Mugabe made the announcement after paying his condolences to the Chidyausiku family at their Highlands residence. He was accompanied by the First Lady Grace Mugabe.
Mugabe said the party and Government had declared Chief Justice Chidyausiku a national hero and he will join other national heroes at the National Heroes Acre.
The President said the decision to declare Chief Justice Chidyausiku a national hero was not made by him alone but the Politburo was unanimous that he was a national hero. He said even the security forces also wanted him declared a national hero. Read more
