Nigeria reviews Visa conditions to attract investment and boost Tourism

Nigeria: The Federal Government has reviewed the visa processes for foreigners who wish to visit Nigeria for business and tourism purposes, with a view to removing bureaucratic bottleneck and encouraging business travellers and tourists, thus giving a boost to the economy.

In a statement issued in Lagos today, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the measures were part of the action plan for the ease of doing business as well as efforts to boost tourism, within the overall context of the Administration’s economic diversification agenda.

Xenophobia atatcks: Nigeria warns SA Home Affairs Minister and calls for AU intervention

She also called on the African Union to intervene urgently in the renewed xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans in South Africa.

She also described the suggestion by Mr. Malusi Gigaba, South African Home Affairs Minister, that diplomacy is the solution to attacks on Nigerians in his country as very insensitive. In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, she said:

Cde Dabengwa : ZANU PF Government behaving like a colonial regime

Image result for dumiso dabengwaZAPU leader, Dumiso Dabengwa, has accused President Robert Mugabe of behaving like the former colonial regime and was now seeking to create a monarchy to run government business, after the veteran leader vowed to cling on to power at 93 years.

Addressing a public meeting at MacDonald Hall in Mzilikazi, Bulawayo on Saturday, Dabengwa likened the behaviour of the Zanu PF government to the colonial regime, which forced oppressed Zimbabweans to take up arms and fight for their liberation.

“It is disappointing that so many years after that awakening to the importance of the right to choose and fire our leaders, we have a post-independence culture in which a desperate regime is in power and clinging to it by any means, including the manipulation and outright violation of our sovereign right to choose and change governments,” he said. President Mugabe talks about Possible succesor

He said national programmes such the land reform were at the heart of the liberation struggle and everything should be done to safeguard them.
